Zota Beach Resort
Its North Beach ceremony site uses a wooden boardwalk as the aisle with the Gulf behind it, and it has the Zara Zota Ballroom and an open-air Sunset Terrace for the reception.
On Location: Longboat Key
Longboat Key weddings are resort weddings: a suite to get ready in, a boardwalk down to the sand, and a day that will be photographed from beginning to end.
She Comes To You
A Longboat wedding usually means getting ready in a resort suite rather than a rental house, and Anie treats it the same way she treats any other room. She sets up in it, rather than asking you to leave it. That matters more here than somewhere with a salon on every corner: Longboat is reached by a single bridge from either end, and a wedding morning is the wrong time to cross it twice. What comes with hair and makeup is on the bridal page.
Longboat Key
Longboat is the quieter, more polished of the keys: twelve miles of low-rise resorts and private beach between St. Armands and Anna Maria. Weddings here are usually held at the resort itself, with the ceremony on the beach and the reception indoors.

A 500-acre property with ceremony and reception options across the marina, the golf courses and the beach.
Resort weddings usually mean a suite upstairs, which is exactly where Anie works. No travelling between the hotel and a salon on the morning.
Longboat has far less foot traffic than Siesta or Lido, which is part of why couples choose it for a beach ceremony.
Longboat runs between the John Ringling Causeway at its south end, through St. Armands, and the Longboat Pass Bridge to the north, near Anna Maria. Coming from Downtown Sarasota, the south entrance is the shorter drive, at roughly 20–25 minutes.
Ceremony spaces here split between Gulf-facing lawns timed to sunset and garden or ballroom spaces that work off whatever light is available that afternoon, worth flagging early so the beauty timeline matches the ceremony time rather than just the season.
At the north tip of the key, Greer Island is better known as Beer Can Island: a spit of white sand with bleached driftwood and fallen trees where a great many engagement and day-after photos on this coast get taken. Whitney Beach is the public access just south of it, and Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant & Pub, on the bay side under old buttonwood trees, hosts waterfront weddings and rehearsal dinners.
The Longboat Island Chapel, mid-key, hosts weddings for couples who want a church rather than the sand, and Bayfront Park has a small bay beach for a quiet ceremony. Euphemia Haye and Harry's Continental Kitchens are the two dinners people plan around, Dry Dock and the Lazy Lobster cover a more casual night, and St. Armands Circle is ten minutes south for everything else.

What Every Bride Gets
Anie a super responsive to my request, spent additional time making sure she would be the right person and was super fun and kind in her chats.

Built For The Day
A resort wedding is photographed heavily, indoors and out, and the two lighting situations are not the same. Anie builds a look that reads correctly in both: long-wear, made to photograph, and finished so it holds from the first-look through the last dance.
The Morning
Anie builds the wedding-morning timeline with you before the day, working backwards from your ceremony: who is in the chair when, how long each person takes, and when the bride is finished. The bride goes last, closest to the ceremony. Start times before 7 AM are never a problem; they simply carry a $50 early-start fee.
